ipv6_setup_kvm

IPv6 Setup on KVM

Please open a support ticket if none of the setups mentioned below are working for you. Usually IPv6 is pre-configured on the VPS if not, use the “reconfigure networking” button in the VPS control panel.

Germany KVM IPv6 Setup

For CentOS 5/6 :

nano /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

and add the following lines to it,

IPV6INIT=yes
IPV6ADDR=(add your IPv6 Address Here)
IPV6_DEFAULTGW=2001:1608:0010:0085:0000:0000:0000:0001
service network restart

For Debian :

nano /etc/network/interfaces

add the following lines :

#IPV6 static configuration
iface eth0 inet6 static
address (add your IPv6 Address Here)
netmask 64
gateway 2001:1608:0010:0085:0000:0000:0000:0001
# END IPV6 configuratio
/etc/init.d/networking restart

Los Angeles KVM IPv6 Setup

For CentOS 5/6 :

nano /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0

and add the following lines to it,

IPV6INIT=yes
IPV6ADDR=(add your IPv6 Address Here)
IPV6_DEFAULTGW=2607:fcd0:0100:2300:0000:0000:0000:0001
service network restart

For Debian :

nano /etc/network/interfaces

add the following lines :

#IPV6 static configuration
iface eth0 inet6 static
address (add your IPv6 Address Here)
netmask 64
gateway 2607:fcd0:0100:2300:0000:0000:0000:0001
# END IPV6 configuratio
/etc/init.d/networking restart
