How to Access the Terminal in DirectAdmin
DirectAdmin now includes a built-in web-based Terminal feature, allowing users to access the server's terminal directly through the DirectAdmin Panel, if SSH access is enabled for the user.
Steps to Access the Terminal via SSH in DirectAdmin
- Login to DirectAdmin
Open your browser and log in to the DirectAdmin panel using your credentials.

- Navigate to “System Info & Files”
From the main dashboard, scroll down or search for the section titled System Info & Files.
- Click on “Terminal”
Under this section, click on the Terminal option. This will launch a web-based terminal session within the browser.

- Start Using the Terminal

Once loaded, you can now run standard Linux commands directly from the browser. This is especially useful for quick server checks, running commands, or performing maintenance tasks.
Notes
Ensure your browser allows pop-ups, as the terminal may open in a new tab or frame.
If the Terminal option is missing, it might be turned off in the DirectAdmin settings, or your account may not have the right access. You need to ask your hosting provider to enable SSH access and turn on the Terminal feature for you.
