How to Block All Websites and Allow Only Specific Websites in Windows Server Using LAN Method

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on blocking all websites on a Windows Server except a few allowed websites by configuring LAN settings. By setting up a proxy to block access, you can limit internet browsing to only the specified websites.

  • Administrator access on the Windows Server.
  • Websites you want to allow listed and ready to add.

Step 8: Configure Exceptions for Allowed Websites

In the Proxy Settings window, find the Do not use proxy server for addresses beginning with: field.

In this field, enter the websites you want to allow (e.g., google.com; example.com). Use a semicolon (;) to separate each website.

Step 9: Verify Blocked Websites

Open a web browser and try to access websites that are not listed in the exceptions. These websites should be blocked and will not load.

Step 10: Test Access to Allowed Websites

In the same browser, try accessing one of the allowed websites (e.g., google.com). It should load successfully, while other websites remain blocked.
