How to Install AlmaLinux 10

Log in to CrownPanel

---

Access your panel at: 🔗 https://crownpanel.com/

Mount the AlmaLinux 10 ISO

---

• Navigate to the CD-ROM tab.

• From the dropdown, select: AlmaLinux 10 x86_64.

• Click the Mount button.

  ⚠️ Please wait 2–3 minutes for the ISO to mount. You can track progress under the Task Log tab.

Go to Power Control and click Reboot to apply the mounted ISO.

Launch the VNC Console

• Open the VNC tab.

• Click Launch VNC to access the web-based VNC console.

• If it hasn’t booted into the installer, click CTRL+ALT+DEL inside VNC to trigger a reboot.

Start AlmaLinux Installation

On the boot screen, select Install AlmaLinux.

Choose your preferred language and click Continue.

Configure Network & Hostname

Select Network & Hostname.

Enable the network interface.

Optional: Set a hostname.

Click Done.

Configure Disk Partitioning

Select Installation Destination.

Choose your disk and opt for Custom (Standard Partition).

Assign partitions as required.

Click Done and then Accept Changes.

Set Installation Source

Go to Installation Source.

Select the Auto-detected Installation Media.

Select Software

Open Software Selection.

Choose Minimal Install.

Click Done.

Configure User Settings (Important for AlmaLinux 10)

AlmaLinux 10 disables the root account by default. To enable root access:

Go to Root Account.

Enable the account and set a strong password.

Tick/Enable "Allow SSH login with password" to permit root login over SSH.

🔐 It’s recommended to disable password SSH access after setup and use key-based authentication for better security.

Begin Installation

Click Begin Installation.

Wait for the process to complete.

Finalize Setup

---

After installation, return to CD-ROM and Unmount the ISO.

Reboot the server from the Power Control tab.

Wait for a few minutes until the system reboots.

Access Your Server

You will now see the login prompt.

You can access your VPS via SSH using:

ssh root@your_server_ip

Note: Replace your_server_ip with actual IP Address 🛡️ If login fails, ensure SSH is enabled for root and that you correctly configured it during setup.
