How to Install Netdata Monitoring Tool on Debian 13 (Trixie)
Netdata is a real-time monitoring tool that provides detailed insights into system performance with beautiful web dashboards.
Update Your System
apt update && apt upgrade -y
Install Required Dependencies
apt install -y curl sudo
Run the Netdata Installer Script
Use the official one-liner installation command from Netdata:
bash <(curl -Ss https://my-netdata.io/kickstart.sh)
This script will:
- Detect your OS
- Install required packages
- Build and install Netdata
The script may take a few minutes to complete.
Access the Netdata Dashboard
Once installed, Netdata runs on port 19999 by default.
Open your browser and navigate to:
http://<your_server_ip>:19999
You’ll see a real-time dashboard with CPU, RAM, disk, network, and process metrics.
Manage the Netdata Service
Start Netdata:
systemctl start netdata
Enable it to start at boot:
systemctl enable netdata
Check status:
systemctl status netdata
✅ Done
You have successfully installed Netdata on Debian 13.
You can now monitor system performance in real-time through a modern web interface.
