How to install Answer Q&A Community Software on AlmaLinux 9

Answer is a open-source knowledge based community software. You can use it to quickly build your Q&A community for product technical support, customer support, user communication, and more.

Prerequisites:

• Root access to your AlmaLinux 9 server.
• Docker installed and running. Learn how to setup Docker.
• Docker Compose installed and running. Learn how to setup Docker Compose.

Install Answer Using Docker

Create a working directory and enter it:

mkdir answer && cd answer

Download the latest docker-compose.yaml from the official Answer GitHub repo:

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/answerdev/answer/main/docker-compose.yaml

Start the containers:

docker compose up

Open your browser and go to:

http://your-server-ip:9080

Replace "yourserver-ip-address" with the actual IP Address of your server
