Setting up a service label
Setting up a service label isn't mandatory but it's recommended if you have multiple products with us, setting up a service label helps in many ways, for example:
- Keep track in matching which invoice belongs to which VPS (The service label appears on the invoice)
- Knowing which VPS is for which service (You can setup labels like, mysql.server.com, http.server.com etc to differenciate the services served by the VPS)
- and many more.
A service label can be setup by following the steps outlined below,
Click on "Services", Then "My Services"
Click on the product you wish to setup a label/custom name for,
Scroll down to the bottom in the "Hosting Information" tab, in Service Label section, click on [Change]
Input the name name, this can be a hostname, or simply a name to identify the VPS,
If the name/label has been setup successfully, you will see this message,
Click on "Go Back" to go back to the product,
Now, you will see the new service label present on the service,
Done.
