The General Data Protection Regulation comes into force from May 25 2018. The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and was designed to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens data privacy and to reshape the way organizations across the region approach data privacy.

We as a company support the GDPR and will ensure all our services comply with its provisions by May 25, 2018.

Data Portability

How can I export/download my data from my VPS/Dedicated Server/Shared Hosting Account?

  • To download data stored inside your VPS or Dedicated Server, you may use a SCP/FTP client to connect and download your files/data.

  • To download data stored in your shared hosting account, you can use the File Manager in the cPanel user interface to download the files you require.

How can I download any data stored in a snapshot ?

  • To download the data stored inside a snapshot, you will have to restore the snapshot onto your VPS and access the data inside it that way.

Data Processing Agreement

The Data Processing Agreement is the requirement of the European Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes into effect on May 25, 2018. CrownCloud's products and services offered in the European Union are GDPR ready and this DPA provides you with the necessary documentation of this readiness.
